This tour starts outside the University Museum on South Street in the second courtyard East of 33rd, then goes

  • West on South to 33rd
  • across 33rd and back
  • North on 33rd to Smith Walk
  • West on Smith Walk to 34th
  • North on 34th to Walnut
  • across 34th
  • back around behind College Hall
  • in front of College Hall
  • across to the library
  • past Peace Symbol to 36th Street and King Solomon
  • South on 36th just past Locust Walk to the Wistar Institute
  • back up 36th to the next walkway
  • West on that walkway to 37th and Spruce
  • across Spruce to see the Quad gargoyles
  • back across Spruce and North on 37th to Locust Walk and the Lindemann Fountain
  • a little bit West on Lucust Walk and then before you get to the bridge
  • South between the buildings to Homage to Georgia O'Keeffe
  • out under the arch to 38th and Spruce

Kelly Family Gates

* Within four years of being installed, the gates were removed again for the destruction of the building next door and then the subsequent construction of a new building to replace it. The last picture, taken in August of 2009, is of the gates propped against the wall near where they were installed.
