a group of citizen-soldiers organized by

modern Pennsylvania National Guard,
established the first Pennsylvania
military installation to defend the colony
and the port of Philadelphia.
The Pennsylvania National Guard dedicates this
monument to those patriots on our two hundredth
anniversary.
