I was a student at the Philadelphia Shotokan Karate Club from around 1974 to 1989, where I reached the rank of nidan and received a black belt with my name in phonetic Japanese embroidered in yellow. This graphic is a photograph of the name portion of the belt, color corrected to the same black and gold I use for the 226 Press logo. There's also a version with black letters I use for lighter backgrounds. I have it on the front left of hoodies by itself and with other elements, taking up the entire right arm of a black jacket, and incorporated into one of my floral graphics. The original is 807x3199.
